If You Love Chicken Don't Read This...
One of my closest friends loves chicken I mean she LOVES chicken. I told her once that I intended to give it up some day and her response was, "What did chicken ever do to you?" All jokes of course.
Well the jokes are a wrap... Chicken may now be considered the devil's instrument.
I'll admit this has been a LONG time in coming...I've been back and forth.
When you want to give up meat people always want to know why and what will that lifestyle afford you and how can you go without it...blah blah blah...Some people just aren't meant to eat that stuff. That is me...put me on that list please.
I write this as my testimony, I write this as my affirmation...as I am feeling I write this as what could be my last blog or what could be my last will and testament...I already don't eat red meats but my love affair with chicken and poultry is officially over. If I live through tonight I will never eat any meat again.
Needless to say I am UNhappy...
From now on if it don't swim or grow out of the ground it and I can't get down...
I'd write more but I have to go lay on the bathroom floor and pray that I don't die...
There's so much going on in the world that I have the need to comment on A LOT of it... Along with commentary please expect stuff about my life, which you could read, or ignore. It's here feel free to do as you'd like... #CassiaLRainneSays if you're so inclined

Another Veggie Venting...
I stopped eating red meat some 10 years ago. It was easy to give up. I was a junior in college and I realized that the meat was too expensive to buy, so I stopped buying it. Then I realized it was months since I had it. I was taking a large amount of biology course for my major and discovered that red meat wasn't really good for you anyway. Plus I had a vegetarian roommate. So I figured why go back to eating it.
I know many people have that, animals shouldn't be eaten thing, which I see but it was never really my foundation for not eating it. I still drink milk, use eggs, and cheese. I just wanted to be kinder to my body and noticed I felt better on less meat and now with no meat ( I do eat fish though ). Bottom line is I don't care what other's eat that is their body and business.
I digress...I have an uncle that is a vegetarian and when we have family gatherings on top of cooking for everyone else, I cook veggie meals for the two of us. My other uncles remind me of an English King sitting at a huge table with an entire pig in front of them. Nasty image but it is true.
I don't say a word to them...I figure to each their own. Of course to me they go on and on and ON about how veggie food is nasty and they would never eat fake meat, and they just don't leave me alone. I mean this has almost turned into knock down drag out arguments, which I don't like at all. I just want to eat in peace. I'm not bugging them. Maybe meat eating does make people more aggressive.

So on my quest to be happier, healthier is on the list for sure. Now let me say it's been over 10 years since I've eaten red meat. Surprisingly I catch a lot of flack for that, which I think is just plain silly.
While I don't particularly like the idea of slaughter houses and all my choice had nothing to do with cruelty to animals, it's about cruelty to my body. People don't seem to get that though. Often when they hear that I don't eat meat they feel the need to berate, tease and joke...when their arteries clog we'll see.
I have an uncle that we'll call G, who we WILL talk about again...I digress every time he hears me mention meatless products and the like he acts the ass of his self. People assume that no meat or meatless products are nasty, or not filling, or boring...
Here's where the happy comes in... and the actual POINT of this post.
They couldn't be more off the track! Check out this website for example:

It is full of recipes, cookbook reviews, chats, forums, and loads of pictures! I just joined and enjoy it greatly.
Check it out join and hopefully I'll see you around the boards checking out some of the delicious foods, that are tasty and filling and SO GOOD for you it hurts.
