I wrote this...sometime before now and a while after then...it's number 1162 in my collection of original poetry. I don't write happy poems really. They dont move me. I have ways to smile and they have nothing to do with poetry. However, I do at times write hopeful poems. Even I was surprised at the way this one turned out. I used color to give it more power and meaning.
#1162
tears fell from my eyes
so silent
i heard them crash
on to the blanket
2 ft below them
crash like thunder
like clouds bumping in
a storm
it's too warm
i'd sleep more but
alarm clocks give me a
headache
the world gives me heartstrain
turgid eyes
the loud voicemails
uncertainity
crashing tears
ever present aching
slience
time to take out the trash
but glad doesn't make bags
my size
brown eyes
turned clear
clear turns black
pain makes red
i wish i could dream
in rainbows, but i never
learned how
yet only they appear after
the clouds cry and crash
like my tears
hitting the blanket
